Continuing the trend from last year, the standard of all the entries in the 2011 RCS DevChallenge contest continued to be very high. Alex Sinclair, GSMA CTO and CSO, chaired the judging panel. He commented, “For the second year running, the RCS DevChallenge has proved to be a great incubator of new RCS ideas. The support and investment from developers and innovators for RCS shows just how significant RCS will be as a basis to offer exciting choice to users to enrich their communications experience. I congratulate all three wining companies.”

All the judges were highly complementary about all of the entries to this year’s DevChallenge competition. Mac Taylor, guest judge and founder of the Moriana Group, said “There was quite a range of entrants and they all had something to contribute. I think what was particularly interesting was the attempt at innovation on top of an RCS platform”. Fellow guest judge Dave Marutiak, User Community Ambassador for Vodafone Internet Services said “I was pleased with what I saw”. Dave continued, “I think that the RCS implementation has come a long way in the last few years.”
