2011 RCS DevChallenge Judging Panel
The distinguished judging panel for the 2011 competition will again be led by Alex Sinclair, the GSMA’s Chief Technology and Chief Strategy Officer. The panel will consist of representatives from the DevChallenge sponsoring companies as well as two guest judges from external organisations.

Before joining Huawei, he held various senior product and technology management positions in Motorola, Disney (Infoseek), and NTT.

He and his team are responsible for the development and customization of solutions to support operators’ evolution to next generation voice, IP transformation and policy control requirements. Deepak is a telecommunications professional of more than 15 years with a background in sales, business development and systems integration. Now based in the UK, Deepak started his career in the telecommunications regulatory and policy environment in South Africa.”
Telefónica - Gonzalo Gómez-Acebo
Independent consultant for Movistar. Founder and CMO at Bookioo.com (feminine social network) since 2008, product manager of new messaging services (chat, IM) at Movistar between 2004 and 2008, operations VP at Mobipay Intl. between 2001 and 2003, project manager of m-commerce services development in Telefónica Móviles between 1999 and 2001. Telecomms engineer from UPM (Madrid).

Dave Marutiak
The User Community Ambassador for Vodafone Internet Services, and currently responsible for identifying and engaging influencers in the various communities that we build around the Vodafone 360 products and services. Our community support begins prior to launch, with a large and diverse beta testing organization spread across the Vodafone operating companies. The application developer community is another key one that we support, both prior to and after a launch. Finally, the most important community is that of existing and potential customers – often led by the technical and business leaders represented in both conventional and new social media. Mac Taylor
Founded The Moriana Group in 2000, to provide analysis, research and consultancy services to the telecom industry, specializing in the service layer and next generation networks. In 2002, he co-authored the world's first analyst report on OSA/Parlay: The OSA/Parlay Report: Enabling the Convergence of Telecom and IT. He pioneered the concept of free Operator Guides and was the editor of Service Delivery Platforms and Telecom Web Services – an Industry Wide Perspective (2004) which included twenty papers from SDP thought leaders. This report has influenced the development of SDP in the industry reaching over 12,000 readers worldwide. He has also worked as consultant with Deutsche Bank private equity, and with Middle East investment funds in Telecom & IT. He has a wide network of contacts with key personnel working in carriers, service providers, system integrators, vendors, ISVs and VCs. He has been regular speaker and has chaired a number of industry conferences on SDP since 2003. He holds an MA from Cambridge University in England.
