Colibria

The Colibria Facebook Canvas Application (app) focuses on leveraging the viral features of social networks to expose and drive take-up of RCS.

The app presents a dashboard view of the user’s mobile contacts within Facebook, allowing them to communicate with these contacts instantly, using operator services such as SMS, IM and VoIP. From here, the user can see their friends’ status, profile picture and location on a map, as well as set their own status and make themselves 'hyperavailable'.

They can also receive birthday reminders, proximity alerts and send pokes - features that the customer may not have on their mobile. Non-subscribers of the service can also use the app to communicate with their Facebook friends who are subscribers, promoting service familiarisation and encouraging wider usage."

Devstrom’s UC widget is a white label solution that aims to enrich communication by providing enhanced address book information to users.

Users can:

  • add contacts from various sources such as web services, social networks and local address books
  • share and receive friends' location, statuses and mood and
  • initiate multi platform calls and messaging sessions

Moreover, users can add subjects to calls and rely on intelligent presence to increase productivity. As the client is browser-based, no software installation and configuration is necessary. This enables the broad usage on various platforms and operating systems.

In screen #1, a family communication app, members use services and functions like Presence, real-time messaging, Voice over IP and Location. Presence information, seen as a green indicator on the family member’s picture, shows “Grandma's” status.

In screen #2, Grandma talks with one family member while answering a multiple-choice message from another. “Conversation Mode” helps her track the dialogue.

When an early user subscribes to the RCS service, convinced of all the potential communications he could have with his contacts, he finds that most of those contacts don’t have the RCS service.

Genaker's innovation allows this subscriber, instead of looking helpless to his list of non RCS-enabled contacts, to invite his friends and then enjoy the benefits of the rich communications.

As soon as the invited contact receives the invitation and follows the link, his terminal is identified and a suitable RCS client is delivered or the correct parameters are sent to the existing client in the subscriber's terminal. This avoids the frustration of the subscriber caused by not knowing the exact application to be installed or the configuration parameters to enter.

Friendlee automatically builds a weighted social network based on user’s communication frequency, duration and location records. Leveraging the network intelligence it shows your friends and businesses on a map, highlighting your closest friends or businesses used by them.

Your phone contacts will be sorted dynamically based on your Friendlee analyzed social network and your search results will be sorted in order of relevance for you, such as the businesses your friends use first.

Friendlee is a concept application demonstrating what can be achieved in innovation when combining handset technologies and the HP Communications and Media Solutions (HP CMS) products portfolio.

'Movial Communicator' by Movial - Winner Best RCS PC ClientMovial

Movial Communicator provides a complete RCS client for Rich HD Voice, HD Video telephony, enhanced address book and messaging based on RCS R2 Social Presence. Product supports also the multi-device requirements on Mac OS, Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms including 4th screen tablets.

Additionally MMtel (the 3GPP/NGN IMS Multimedia Telephony Service) and OMA are supported. The improved user interface enables theming, drag and drop actions, animations, pre-view of favorite website as part of Presence, picture in picture full screen video and one-way video. Movial Communicator is selected by two mobile operators for commercial IMS deployments in Q2 2010.

The Neusoft Symbian s60 RCS mobile client brings full RCS support to your Symbian phone.

With optimized battery consumption the Neusoft RCS client runs smoothly and makes RCS a pleasure to use.

Symbian s60 v3.2 and v5.0 models are supported, including touch-screen devices.

Social Presence Information include the following attributes

  • Hyper-availability, temporary “contact me” status
  • Portrait icon, depicting the user (priority: photo or image provided by the user himself, nice to have: avatar chosen bythe user in an avatar library). The portrait icon can be any type of image or photo, obtained either from a library in the phone but also e.g. taken directly from the camera of the phone
  • Free text, including textual note and possibility to add emoticons (automatic translation of some specific characters into smileys)
  • Favorite link, to publish hypertext link of personal and/or favorite site
  • Timestamp, date of the last update of the profile, generated automatically
